嗯~~ 英文可以理解這種意思 不過我有點confuse把story翻成一層樓... 其實它應該是同一句話裡同時有 "要有上下兩層才能完成一間房" 和 "要有兩個段落才能完成一個故事" 我是這樣理解的^^

在我的理解裡我不覺得哪裡奇怪＠ｖ＠ 有兩個層次才能造就一個故事，像是所謂的起承轉合 字典裡是有說美國口語將story譯為樓層沒錯 但因為我個人覺得這首歌雙關語或隱喻蠻多的 所以我選擇這樣的翻譯＠ｖ＠ 但我會將字譯註解在旁邊，歡迎大家自由參考～

您的註解"要有兩層地板才能造成一層樓"才是正確的。floor有建築物層次的意思，但沒有其他抽象的層次意思。且上一句也提到建築用的吊車crane，所以原歌詞意思的確像樓上有人所說，是在表達建築物的一層樓沒錯，不是"故事"的意思。

dust 是灰塵 rust 是鐵鏽 It takes the dust to have it polished, yeah 要有過那些鐵鏽才能使它被擦亮磨光 這句應該要用灰塵喔！
